Joy Jennissen

A seasoned executive, Joy has cultivated over 30 years of business experience working with global companies across North America providing strategy and communications counsel.

A big believer that the power of relationships is core to the building of strong organizations and teams, Joy has a proven track record of positive and effective leadership. In her role as Chief Client Officer for Hill + Knowlton Strategies Canada, Joy developed the client relationship model for the Canadian operations. Often called a “problem solver”, Joy has worked with CEOs and senior executives on a range of issues.  She has led talented teams of professionals in the management of programs for some of the most critical issues in the country.

An active member of the community, Joy has worked on many committees in volunteer roles. Joy currently serves on the board of The Jack Webster Foundation and as Board Chair for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

Michael O'Shaughnessy

Michael O’Shaughnessy is a Principal at Fintona Strategy, a boutique strategic communications firm dedicated to helping organizations discover, articulate and communicate their big ideas – and win their seat at the table. 

Michael brings over a decade of communications and consulting experience across sectors to the table. In his consulting work, he delves deep into his clients’ businesses, fully understanding their communications challenges, stakeholder environments, organizational strengths and impediments to success. His economics and public policy knowledge especially help serve clients who rely on government for financial support or regulatory overview.

This expertise — combined with a strong background in strategic message development, media relations, digital outreach and coalition-building — allows him to develop robust, integrated communications and advocacy programs that mitigate risk, resolve stakeholder challenges and generate support for client goals in the government, with media, at the boardroom table and on the street. 

Sophia de Zeeuw

Sophia de Zeeuw is the founder of Sova Social, a boutique digital marketing agency that blends the art of storytelling with data-driven strategy to help businesses grow their brand awareness, connect with their ideal clients and customers, and drive business goals.

Always working at the intersection of creativity and strategy, Sophia is a passionate and results-driven social media marketer with over five years of experience in both in-house and agency environments before starting her own business. Often described as a “Swiss army knife marketer”, Sophia is skilled in a wide variety of abilities integral to digital marketing success including marketing strategy, video editing, data analysis, graphic design, copywriting, and website design.

Sophia earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2018, and she has since completed several digital marketing certifications from Google, Hootsuite, and General Assembly. As a fervent learner, Sophia continues to stay on top of social media trends and best practices while furthering her knowledge in the ever-changing industry.
